Flotsam by David Wiesner

flot·sam
ˈflätsəm/
noun
  1. the wreckage of a ship or its cargo found floating on or washed up by the sea.

    Front flap: Something that floats.
If it floats in the ocean,
it may wash up on the beach,

    where someone may find it
    and be astonished
    and share the discovery
    with someone else---

    as David Wiesner
    shares it
    with you.

Oh, wow!  I love this book!  I have seen this book many times, but never took the time to read the whole thing.  What the boy finds when he develops the film in a camera he finds is truly magical.

SO much to work with in this book!  I see great discussions ahead of me.

Eyewitness Books Train

This book is mostly too dense, but it has a great cut away of a steam engine.
