Mailing May by Michael O. Tunnell

I just love this story.  ðŸ˜€

Bullet Trains Inside and Out by David Biello

Although the text is dense and somewhat inaccessible, the drawings and diagrams and labels are FABULOUS.  This book really gets into how the engine works and what it looks like and is made out of.

Terrific Trains by Dennis Shealy

So this book does not have a lot of numbers, per se, but it explains how trains and bridges work.  A lot of good concepts in this book to develop background knowledge.  This book has good information about steam engines, freight engines, and maglev/bullet trains.

I didn't know trains run on water by Kate Petty

This book is PERFECT for teaching about trains.  There are a lot of math concepts in here and the format is laid out in an interesting and understandable way.

The John Bull A British Locomotive Comes to America

This book labels things with numbers and then explains each number on the side.  Very cool way to talk about labeling in a different way.

DY See how they go! Trains

Oh my goodness!  This is a great great great book for labeling and learning train basics!

Eyewitness Books Train

This book is mostly too dense, but it has a great cut away of a steam engine.
